Five Festive Ways to Celebrate Christmas in Liverpool

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Deadlines aren't due until next year and Christmas songs fill the air. At Student Lettings Point we are big fans of all things festive, so here’s our guide to what’s going on in Liverpool and how to turn even the most miserable Scrooge into a right Christmas Cracker.

1. Wrap up your shopping at Liverpool’s Christmas Market

Tis the season to jolly, so where better to go than Liverpool’s Christmas Market. Bag a bargain, buy a bauble or simply soak up the atmosphere as more than 40 stalls from around the world fill up St George’s Square. The Market runs until Thursday 22 December and is open 11am-9pm and 11am-5pm on Sundays and is within walking distance from our Student Apartments.

2. Get your skates on at the Ice Festival

Wrap up warm and head down to the open air ice rink at Pier Head’s Ice Festival. Open daily with a discount for students it’s a regular Winter Wonderland. Don’t worry if ice skating isn’t your thing you could always barrel down the ice slide or get some Dutch courage at the new ice bar.

3. Get Merry on Mulled Wine at Independent Liverpool’s Christmas Festival

Just a short walk from our Liverpool City Centre Apartments, the guys over at Independent Liverpool are transforming The Baltic Triangle Warehouse into a festive feast that Father Christmas himself would be proud of. Fill up on mince pies, down Christmas cocktails and sing along to the classics. If you’re not beaming with festive cheer they’ve even got you covered with their Grown Up Grinch’s Grotto. 4. Lace up for the Scouse Santa Dash

A 5K fun run around the city’s most famous sites, nothing shouts it’s Christmas in Liverpool more than the annual Santa Dash. It raises money for a good cause and you even get given a santa suit and medal to show off in the pub over the holidays. Keep an eye out for the Everton fans running in blue...after all they would never be caught dead in red. It takes place on Sunday 4th December with details of how to enter available at http://www.btrliverpool.com/santa-dash.

5. Embrace your inner child with a trip to the Panto

Whether you're peering into the magic mirror at the Empire or slipping into your glass slippers at the ECHO Arena Auditorium there is no shortage of shows across the City this festive season.

Merry Christmas from everyone at Student Lettings Point.
